Back to Work Dressing and New Blog Design!!

5 January 2017

Faux Fur Collar Biker Jacket: Zara
Cropped Round Neck Jumper: Zara
Distressed Girlfriend Jeans: ASOS
High Heel Ankle Boots: Zara

In order to ease myself back into the daily grind on Tuesday, I opted for my new favourite outfit to give myself a little confidence boost and add a little sass to my stride. I'm lucky to have a fairly relaxed dress code in my office, so as long as I look put together, I am allowed to wear quite casual attire. When I first started I never dreamed of wearing ripped jeans, but I feel as though these heeled boots smarten these up the distressed part of this denim (plus other members of staff were sporting ripped jeans nearer summer so I learnt that it was acceptable haha). Also after ten days off work which mostly consisted of over indulging on mince pies, Bailey's, and Christmas telly, who would wear a tight outfit to the office? Not me!

Now I can't walk through central London without seeing at least two other women wearing this black aviator jacket from Zara, and it's gradual popularity nearly out me off purchasing it, but I love the longline, oversized shape to this. Whenever wearing this jacket I feel slightly more stylish and put together, and admittedly I do love it more than the Acne Jacket its design is based on.

If you read my What I Got For Christmas post, you will recognise these pink velvet pieces (also from Zara, I'm borderline obsessed with their stock at the moment). This jumper is made of chenille and jersey but the finish is made to look like velvet, the fit is rather loose and it is super warm too. I now consider these boots to be my new babies, in that I am head over heels in love with them (pardon the pun). I am a big fan of the dusty pink clothes at the minute if you couldn't tell, and I kind of love that these match.

Also if you are familiar round these parts you will notice that I have a new blog design!!!! Eek! I thought it was high time I got rid of my pretty pink head banners and menu bar, and opted for a sleeker, more professional design. Plus I now have a home page! Feel free to have a mooch around the new design, I personally love that my Instagram pics now appear in the bar below and that my recent posts revolve in a funky manner at the top. This template was also a bargain, and I cannot thank Eve at Fearne Designs enough for all her help. I am also in the process of switching over to my very own domain name (goodbye .blogspot, hello to my own website) so hopefully that will be changing in the next couple of days or so.

But in general, it's all new year, new blog around here. So let me know what you think to the new layout! And what do you make of this outfit?

    1. Aw thank you so much Lucy!! This is actually my second aviator jacket (oops), but I prefer this to my old one as it is so much more oversized which definitely means it's a lot warmer. So glad you liked this post :) x

    1. Aw thank you Terri!! It's such a gorgeous coat isn't it? But seems like half of the girls in London own it, so that's the only downside to it haha. Thanks for reading :) x

  3. I am obsessed by those Zara boots, they are beautiful! I'm also all about jumpers too, I'm still a bit miserable about Christmas being over so I'm sulking and snuggling into my cosy jumpers!
