So, this lifestyle post may be a little overdue (this particular day trip was on Easter Saturday) but the two places I visited were too cute not to share. With both the cafe and cakery appearing in the odd vlog and blog post, Natsumi and I thought we would see what the fuss was about - and we weren't disappointed!
We hadn't booked a table for lunch and found The Greenbury Café to be very busy, so we sat outside. The service was good and even though it was after 12, we were craving some brunch and luckily the Breakfast Menu was served until 3pm. We both ordered the 'Breakfast' as we were feeling peckish, and got a pot of tea to drink.
The food was delicious. I asked for my eggs to be poached, and they were just the right amount of runny and cooked, and I love me a bit of sourdough bread. Unfortunately, we underestimated just how chilly the day was, so our tea went cold before we could drink it all *sob*. So for this reason, I'd recommend booking if you fancy heading down to this cute and reasonably priced café on the weekend. To warm ourselves up and satisfy our sweet tooth, we paid our bill and strolled down the road to the Sweet Things Cakery.
Have you visited the Greenbury Cafe or Sweet Things? Or do you have any cute cafe/cakery recommendations in London or elsewhere in the UK?
